Association Rhodopes without Borders is announcing a contest to promote the beauty of the mountain. The contest is divided in two main categories: photo and short film contest. All photos and films have to be taken in the Rhodope mountain.  The initiative will contribute to the development and promotion of the opportunities for tourism in the Rhodopes, by achieving a better promotion of the cultural, historic and natural resources of the mountain, the forgotten traditions and rituals.

The photo and film contest is in three genres:

• Nature;

• Culture, traditions and crafts;

• Amusing moments from your holidays in the Rhodopes.

 

Our aim is to show through photos and short films the nature, history, culture and spirit of the Rhodopes, to show what has excited us and why we shall return to the mountain again.

 

Who we are. The Association Rhodopes without Borders is founded in 2007 by a local initiative group with the aim to find solutions to social, ecological, cultural and other issues and problems connected with the mountain and its inhabitants.

Some of the main aims of the Association are applying measures for sustainable development and public infrastructure, adaptation of the region to the European standards, protection of the nature, culture and traditions of the Rhodopes through educational and information activities for the public, protection of the rights and interests of the inhabitants in the mountain regions, support for the development of the European integration and cross-border co-operation, contribution in solving social, cultural, economic and ecological problems of the mountain regions.

 

The team of the organization consists of experts entusiasts and volunteers with proven professional experience in various spheres like project management, marketing, ecology and ornithology, tourism, sustainable development and sustainable tourism, international relations and international law, forestry, social pedagogy, agronomy, economics, as well as people of the arts and mountain fans.
